In addition to the online resources found at this site, SPS also offers a number of tutoring options to students who would like to improve their writing skills.

One-on-One Tutoring with the Writing Fellows

The  Writing Fellows are available to help with all stages of the writing process, from choosing a topic to producing a final draft.  We can give feedback via email, work with you over Skype, or even meet with you in-person.  To start working with a Fellow, contact us via our online form  Please note that the Fellows are available in person or by phone or email Monday-Friday (except school holidays), and by email or Skype on weekends.

In addition, tutoring services are available through the etutoring.org site–see http://sps.cuny.edu/student_resources/tutoring_services.html for directions on how SPS students may access these services. Students in the Urban or Labor Studies program or certificate programs through the Murphy Institute also have services available to them through http://murphyinstituteblog.org/murphy-writing-center

The Pop-up Writing Center

Held periodically throughout the Fall and Spring semesters, these evening sessions are designed to help you with any and all of your writing woes.  The pop-up writing center features walk-in hours and individual appointments where students can meet with a Fellow about any writing questions or concerns.  Click here to learn more about the pop-up evenings and see when our next scheduled event is.
