How to Make an Appointment

Getting writing help at SPS is easy!  

If you have a writing question, check the Common Writing Questions and Writing Guides to see if we’ve already posted an answer online.

If you would like individualized assistance from a writing fellow, we are happy to help! The SPS writing fellows use an online scheduling system called WCOnline. Please go here and register for an account using your SPS email. This page gives detailed instructions on how to register and make an appointment. 

Once you’ve set up an account, you will be able to schedule online video chat, or written asynchronous feedback appointments with us – whichever you prefer and is most convenient for you. When you make an appointment please be sure to include your draft as well as the instructions for the assignment as well as the professor’s rubric (watch this video on how to join an appointment). We will typically return feedback to you within an hour or two of your appointment time.

Availability

We have available hours during the week and the weekends, including mornings, afternoons and evenings during fall and spring sessions.  In winter or summer sessions, please click Tutoring in your CUNY SPS Blackboard course site and follow the instructions to use tutor.com– during the winter and summer you can access their live tutoring or essay drop-off for asynchronous written feedback.
